Accessible websites for ethical and sustainable charities and businesses

I work with small charities, community groups, and values-led businesses who need their websites to be clear, reliable, and properly looked after, without pressure, jargon, or unnecessary complexity.

My ethos

Jackdaw home_navy line

If you are unsure whether you need a new website, ongoing support, or nothing at all, you are in the right place. My work starts with understanding what you already have and helping you make sensible decisions, not selling you something you do not need.

Starting with the right questions

Jackdaw home_navy line

Do you really need a new website?

It’s common to feel unsure about what your organisation actually needs from its website. Some people come with an existing site that feels hard to manage or risky to change. Others are starting from scratch and want to be confident they are doing the right thing from the outset.

I help organisations step back and decide what will genuinely make things easier – whether that’s training staff to manage the site themselves, taking care of the website for them, or, where there’s a clear reason, planning a new site.

The aim is not to do more than necessary, but to make sensible choices that fit your capacity now and over time.

Best Website designers in North Tyneside

Accessible web design for charities and ethical organisations

Based in Wallsend, just to the east of Newcastle upon Tyne, I offer high quality, bespoke web design services and WordPress training to charities and small businesses throughout Tyneside, North East England, and beyond.

I work with charities, not-for-profits, social enterprises, and values-led small businesses to help them build and maintain websites that are clear, accessible, and sustainable over time. I’ve been doing this since 2014, so I understand both the practical and organisational challenges of getting online and keeping things running smoothly.

Support can be as light-touch or as hands-on as you need – from small tweaks and staff training, through to ongoing website care, or a full branding and website project where there is a clear reason for one. The aim is always to end up with a website that fits your organisation’s needs and capacity, not something more complex than necessary.

Accessibility is a core part of how I work. I’m committed to making websites usable by as many people as possible, and to helping organisations understand what good accessibility looks like in practice.
